Michael Emen is an expert in the securities industry with several decades’ worth of experience across the major U.S. securities markets. He previously held positions at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the American Stock Exchange.

Most recently, Mr. Emen was a senior vice president in charge of the Listing Qualifications Department at the NASDAQ Stock Market, where he was responsible for listing compliance and oversight of fraud investigations, as well as interpreting and applying NASDAQ’s rules to proposed corporate financing transactions. He is a frequent speaker on topics such as securities regulation, corporate governance, and accounting issues.

Mr. Emen has also authored several articles on these topics, including “Corporate Governance – The View from NASDAQ.” Michael Emen is a former attorney and held multiple positions at the American Stock Exchange, including senior compliance attorney, special counsel, and director of arbitrations and hearings. Mr. Emen was also an attorney in the Enforcement Division of the SEC and the Enforcement Department of the NYSE.
